Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 17, 2026
These terms cover your use of this website and the travel planning services I provide. By using the site or working with me, you agree to them. In these terms, "I," "me," and "my" mean Mike Praska and Mike Praska Travel, and "you" means you and anyone traveling with you.
Who I am
Mike Praska Travel is an independent agency with the Avoya Travel Network, based in Minnesota and working with travelers across the United States.
Using this website
The information on this site is general and meant to help you start planning. Trip details, prices, and availability change often, so nothing here is an offer or a guarantee until it's confirmed in writing for your specific booking. Please don't misuse the site, for example by trying to disrupt it or submitting false information.
My role and your travel suppliers
I help you choose and book travel. The travel itself is provided by independent companies such as cruise lines, resorts, hotels, tour operators, airlines, and insurers. When you book, you also agree to that supplier's own terms and conditions (for example, a cruise line's passenger contract), and those terms control things like changes, cancellations, refunds, and what's included. I'll point you to them, and I encourage you to read them.
I don't own or operate any of these companies and can't control their actions, schedules, or policies. I'll always do my best to help if something goes wrong.
Fees
I don't currently charge fees for any of my services, including changes and cancellations. If that ever changes, I'll tell you about any fee up front, before you're charged.
Prices and availability
Prices and availability are set by the travel suppliers and can change until your booking is confirmed and paid for as required. Taxes, port fees, fuel charges, and similar costs can also change. If a price is shown in error, the supplier may correct it.
Payments
Payments are processed securely through the travel suppliers. Deposits and final payments follow each supplier's schedule, and I'll share the due dates with you. Missing a payment deadline can lead to the supplier cancelling your booking. I offer FlexPay, which lets you pay for your trip with a payment plan.
Changes and cancellations
If you need to change or cancel a booking, the supplier's rules apply, including any penalties or loss of deposits. I don't charge any agency fees for changes or cancellations. Refunds follow each supplier's refund policy. Suppliers can also change itineraries, schedules, or accommodations, and I'll let you know as soon as I hear about it.
Travel insurance
I strongly recommend travel insurance for every trip, and I offer Allianz Travel Insurance plans. Travel insurance can help protect you if you need to cancel, get sick, or face a delay, lost luggage, or an emergency away from home. If you decide not to buy it, you accept the financial risk of those situations, and I'll ask you to sign a form confirming that you've declined coverage.
Travel documents, health, and accessibility
Each traveler is responsible for having valid passports, visas, and any other documents required for their trip, and for meeting health and entry requirements. Names on bookings must match travel ID exactly, so please check them carefully. I'm happy to point you to official resources. If you have accessibility or medical needs, tell me early and I'll help request accommodations, but the supplier decides what it can provide.
Traveler Spotlight and reviews
If you send a photo, story, or review, you confirm that it's yours to share and that anyone recognizable in a photo (or a parent or guardian, for a minor) is okay with it being posted. You give me permission to show it on this website, my Facebook page, and my Instagram account, credited the way you choose. Client submissions won't be posted anywhere else. I review everything before it's posted and may choose not to post something. If you'd like it removed later, email me.
Links to other websites
This site links to other websites, such as Tern (Start Here), Nylas (scheduling), travel suppliers, and social media. Those websites are run by others, and their own terms and privacy policies apply. Bookings you make yourself on my Avoya Travel online booking site are also subject to Avoya Travel's terms.
Website content
The text, photos, and logo on this website belong to Mike Praska Travel or are used with permission. Supplier names and logos belong to their owners. Please don't copy content from this site without asking.
Limits of my responsibility
When I arrange travel for you, I act as an agent for the travel suppliers. I'm not responsible for their acts, omissions, defaults, or failures, or those of their employees and contractors.
I'm also not liable for events beyond my control, such as weather, natural disasters, strikes, illness, epidemics, government actions, or travel advisories.
To the extent the law allows, my liability to you for any service is limited to the amount of fees you paid me for that service.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited under applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. When I do, I'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. The terms in place when you book apply to that booking.
